Don't believe all you hear or read...
Caution: Do not believe everything you hear from the mainstream media.
Two examples today come to mind:
1. Quote from media reports: "President Fidel Castro transferred his powers to his brother..." Fidel Castro is not a President; he is a dictator. Presidents are elected; he was never.
2. There is mounting evidence that the bomb that killed "57" people in southern Lebanon was not the culprit. First of all, the Red Cross is saying they have only 20-something victims, and second, new evidence suggests this might have been staged by Hezbollah. The building stayed standing for about 7 hours after the bombing; additionally, Hezbollah is very comfortable with sending children out to die for them and counting it a victory. IF they staged this, it was very effective, for they have gained a PR victory today.
I believe there is much more going on than meets the eye or the media!
On another note, since Hezbollah, headquartered in Lebanon, gets its weapons and support from Iran, who in turn gets weapons and support from N. Korea, Carrie is right about her concern for them. They could be a problem, IF they can ever give up the food given to them by the rest of the world, including us. Since the powers there take all from the people to feed/clothe/house their military and the palatial living of the elite, they always have a starving populace and have to turn to us (mainly) to get sustenance for the rest of the country. If they find another compassionate source, we might be in trouble BIG. Don't forget who started the conflict in Iraq by defying UN resolutions for 15 years. Don't forget who started the conflict in Lebanon by attacking first and taking prisoners. Don't forget the giving up of many pieces of real estate by the Israelies over the last 15 years to keep from getting to this exact problem. And don't forget that evil truly exists and wants to destroy all good.
